While we occasionally receive requests to sell used armored vehicles, this is something we do only in rare cases, approximately 98% of the time, we don’t sell used armored vehicles. This is because we don’t have control over the vehicle’s past history. We can’t guarantee the modifications made during the armoring process, the types of threats the car may have been exposed to, or whether it has experienced any ballistic incidents or accidents.

Without full transparency regarding the vehicle’s history, we cannot confidently vouch for its safety and reliability. Buying a used armored vehicle can come with risks, as it might have a compromised level of protection, and there may be repairs or adjustments that could affect its ability to withstand future threats.

A Better Solution: Armoring a Vehicle You Own or Source

If you’re looking to buy a used armored vehicle, we have the solution for you! Here are two options:

  • Armor your own vehicle: This allows us to control the entire process and ensure the highest quality of armoring. For this, we recommend choosing a vehicle that is no older than 4 to 5 years, a robust SUV that can handle the weight of the armor, and has less than 45,000 miles.
  • Buy a regular used vehicle: We suggest selecting a vehicle that meets similar criteria: no older than 4 to 5 years, under 45,000 miles, and with a clean history (no accidents, and an excellent Carfax report). Once you have found a vehicle that meets these conditions, we can armor it for you and provide the protection you need. Vehicles such as the Cadillac Escalade, GMC Yukon, or Lexus LX 600 are great options. Once you’ve selected a well-maintained, high-quality vehicle, we can armor it for you. This way, you get the best of both worlds: a reliable, top-performing vehicle with the protection you need at a better cost.
